No Maintenance
HDPE requires no painting, sanding or corrosion treatment. It does not rust, rot, corrode or suffer from osmosis. HDPE is 100% UV resistant, so it stays tough and keeps performing year after year.
A comparison of the three most common workboat materials across the factors that matter in professional use.
Decades of service without structural degradation.
Fully recyclable, resin code 2.
No paint, no osmosis, no corrosion.
Fewer repairs, more time on the water.
Absorbs impact without cracking or denting.

High-density polyethylene, or HDPE, is a strong and lightweight thermoplastic. Its dense molecular structure gives it a high level of toughness and impact resistance, while its density of 0.93 to 0.97 g/cm³ makes it lighter than water.
Our boats operate in climates ranging from Arctic conditions to the heat of Africa. HDPE remains tough and impact resistant in cold weather, does not corrode or suffer from osmosis, and withstands saltwater and many chemicals. UV stabilisation protects the material during long term exposure to strong sunlight, making it a durable, low maintenance choice for year-round use in demanding marine environments.
Our HDPE components are joined using proven thermoplastic welding techniques by skilled welders with years of specialist experience. This creates strong, durable joints that can withstand intensive professional use and repeated impact.
HDPE welds are often purely functional and can have a relatively rough finish. Our welding process produces exceptionally clean, consistent seams with a level of workmanship and finish well above what is typically seen in HDPE construction.
Every part of the boat is designed for practical daily use. Heavy duty hatches provide easy access to protected storage, while the welded push bow, oversized bollards and swimming platforms support demanding operations.
A sealed double bottom provides additional buoyancy, and the self draining deck keeps the working area clear of water. Modular bolt-on seating and console allow the layout to be easily adapted to different applications.
Our boats are designed to combine the stability and practicality of a flat-bottomed workboat with remarkably refined handling. A wide hull and large skegs provide excellent balance, directional stability and a quick transition to planing, while the flexible HDPE construction helps absorb impacts and reduce hull resonance.
Inside, the ergonomic layout, high gunwales and secure grip surfaces create a safe, comfortable and practical working environment. The result is a robust boat that feels stable, predictable and genuinely pleasant to operate.

HDPE has a long service life and does not degrade like many traditional boatbuilding materials. It doesn’t require painting or protective coatings which are toxic for the environment. And at the end of its life, the HDPE can be fully recycled.
HDPE is highly resistant to impact and can absorb forces without cracking or permanently deforming. Rough contact with docks, rocks and other obstacles are no problem for the boat.
Water drains automatically from the deck, eliminating the need for a bilge pump. The natural buoyancy of HDPE and watertight air compartments keep the boat afloat, even when fully flooded.
The combination of impact resistance, corrosion resistance and maintenance-free construction prevents unnecessary repairs and interruptions. The boat remains available for continuous professional use.
No hull maintenance, fewer repairs and minimal downtime keep operating costs low throughout the boat’s service life.
HDPE (high density polyethylene) is a tough, lightweight thermoplastic that doesn’t rust, rot or corrode. It absorbs impact, is fully UV stable when carbon-black compounded, and can be welded into a seamless monolithic hull. The result is a workboat that needs no paint, no antifouling and almost no maintenance.
HDPE boats are built to perform in all temperatures. With our boats operating from the fjords of Scandinavia to the rivers and coasts of Africa, they have proven themselves in vastly different climates and conditions. Whether driving through ice or operating in extreme heat, HDPE can handle it.
Yes. One of the major advantages of HDPE is that it is relatively easy to repair. Damage can be repaired by plastic welding, without the need for complex tools or materials. Even in remote locations, repairs can often be carried out quickly, helping to keep downtime to a minimum.
Yes. The BJ 550 PRO 18 stacks up to eight hulls inside a 40ft high cube shipping container. The BJ 500 can also be stacked eight high in a 20ft standard container, dramatically reducing transport and storage cost per vessel.
Yes. Rod holders and electric trolling motors can be fitted easily. The boats are stable, comfortable to use and require very little maintenance, so you can spend more time on the water and less time working on the boat.
Yes. Boats can be picked up, delivered within the Netherlands, or shipped worldwide. International delivery is quoted separately based on destination and quantity.
