Founded Black Workboats.
Black Workboats was founded in 2021 from the belief that HDPE was the ideal material to build a truly user-friendly workboat. That idea became the starting point for building boats that are practical, dependable and made for everyday use.

A life on the water.
Whenever we get the chance, we are out on the water. That experience has given us a clear instinct for what works on a hull and what does not, which fittings stand up to daily use, which layouts make your job easier, and which design decisions you will end up regretting a few seasons down the line.

Hard-earned lessons.
We were introduced to boats at a very young age. In this photo, we had just capsized, one of our first lessons in how quickly things can change on the water. Since then, we have spent countless hours sailing, working on boats and improving them, always trying to understand why some work better than others.
